I am converting my 2008 CRF450R into a trike. The new custom air intake does not have a port for the breather hose. I was not previously aware of how this breather worked, but in researching it, I stumbled upon that many people liked to use a kit by Applied Racing that would eliminate routing it to the airbox. This would be perfect for what I am doing.

I looked it up at Applied Racing, placed in cart, and tried to check out, but it would not work. I called, and their answering system says they are closed with no anticipated re-opening date. Apparently I have been out of the game far too long!! CRFsOnly is out, and I have tried eBay, Amazon, and Craigslist.

Does anyone happen to have an extra kit lying around they are willing to sell?

CRFsOnly has this Tokyo mods one (https://www.crfsonly.com/catalog/produc ... ts_id/2380), but for me, it's really just a length of hose (I don't need the plug since my new intake does not have a hole to begin with). I can just get that at my local hardware store. The Applied kit was cool as it looks like they provided a nice coupler to tie onto then run hose upwards to wherever it runs (probably not critical where and I'm sure I can find a spot to land it). I liked the little filter that Applied came with, but based on looking at the Tokyo mods one, it doesn't look like that is even necessary. Looks like they just run the hose raw. My understanding is that the breather is pressure, not vacuum, so in theory, not a concern for ingesting dirt/sand... but having a filter still kinda gives me some peace of mind. The trike is used only in the sand (Glamis, Dumont) and so sand could swirl in while sitting out.

Any other input is appreciated.

I know K&N has filters for venting , maybe one of those would suit your needs ...
