2013 CFR250R kill switch issue plz help

Hey what's up! so I'm new member to forum but I've been reading a ton of good info on here and I know this topic has been beat into the ground but I cant find anyone with my problem. So, I recently purchased my bike and the kill switch did not work had to dump clutch. Bought a new TUSK 4 pin switch, matched it up to original one (it matched) and installed it. The bike would not start!! I unplugged the kill switch harness and bike fired on fist kick... I plugged the switch back in while bike was running and it died so now I ride with the kill switch unplugged, back to dumping clutch.. I just picked up a new switch from Outlaw but have not installed it yet.. Is it more likely that the new switch was bad or do I have a bigger issue?? Appreciate any help and your time!

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

The bike you have has a kill/map switch combo , so unless the ones you are getting are OEM Replacements , I am guessing that is the issue ... as I think the function of just a kill switch is different than the way Honda has theirs wired

Here is the wiring schematic for the Honda Switch , compare that to what you got , if it is different , then I would suggest getting a OEM replacement and you should be good to go .. (This is for the 12 but it should be the same as the 13) Pay attention to where the wires go and the colors , so you can match them , so you know the wires are going to the correct location ..
