    Protection modifications

    by crfsonly » Fri Feb 17, 2006 8:07 am

Discuss what protection should be added to this bike. Be specific about brand and type of protection (like I needed to mention that...who could forget the great radiator guard debate).

You can pimp and ride off road, it's a personal preference thing with not a thing wrong with it.
    So,
    RED or Black Unabikers.
Works or Flatland skid plate, and since I have one vote, yeah, RED.
    Works master,caliper,reservoir RED.
    IMS 3.2
Love that LightSpeed cable line, front and rear disc guard stuff too Devi, let's do it.
TM Designworks -all in red- swingarm slider, chain guide, rollers.
    Doug

Ken, I was wondering if you will be weighing all of the mods and everything that is taken off. I think this would be interesting. I have a feeling you will be because of the stock fuel tank question you posed.

Don't forget the rear rotor; how about the Scotts shark fin? Also the Rekluse clutch cover assuming we are going with the Rekluse Z-Start clutch.

Isn't the carbon fiber stuff lighter? I would use carbon fiber for the front disc, forks, rear disc, and skid plate.
Don't forget the Cycra hand guards... Fir protection also the rekluse clutch cover. SBF ingintion cover.

How about some Cycra Pro Bends, Works Connection Protection ie skid plate, rear caliper guard etc. I love my Rooster Perf. Rad guards, but since Ken sells the Devol and the Uni's here I think either one would work well. I like the Scotts rear disk protector also and BRP or TM design chain guide. IMS 3.2

I originally said WC skid plate, for the RED factor. Doug, did you happen to weigh yours? I have the E-LINE carbon - kevlar on my bike. It is light as a feather and 1/4 thick. Ken, I can pull it off and weigh it, if you want. OFG
