    2020 250f clutch issue?

    by Mimmo » Sun Aug 09, 2020 5:29 am

so i was out riding yesterday and ran into a problem and im not sure whats going on!

when im in 1st gear and let off the clutch it will begin to creep, with a quarter turn of the throttle it will slowly take off but as soon as i open the throttle completely it goes absolutely no where, there no pull. same goes for second gear and so on. it almost feels like the clutch it slipping maybe, i have no idea whats going on.

The bike will only move with a quarter turn of the throttle.

Clutch is slipping. Check the cable adjustment first but it sounds like clutch disc replacement time is in your future.

Hi Mimmo and welcome to the site.

Hopefully the cable adjustment fixes thing for you.
Is this a new problem or has it been around for a while?
When you ride do you have the clutch in a bit sometimes to help control your speed. If you do then there is probably plate wear as Neil suggested.

See how you go with adjustment first.

It starts,it runs,it gets to where all CRFs can get to without the valve or valve plate dramas
