Does anyone know of a super strong cam similar to the '02 R cam but for '08-up motors (updated decompression system)? I know I can swap in the older decomp parts but wanted to first get a lay of the land.

For context, I'm building a road race bike using a '14 CRF450X motor. Looking to build max power within reason, especially towards the top end.

I hated the '02 cam, and put an '07 cam in my '08. It was fine for desert racing. But, for road racing, maybe you will like the '02.

Does anyone know what the characteristics of the '08 R cam are? How does it compare to the '02?

Since it is plug and play in '08-up X motors, maybe that's one to consider...

Really strong to top end cam, with a decent mid range, but lacks bottom end.
