CRF 150F - Needle jet removal question

    by cpsmith835 » Fri Jul 13, 2018 5:49 pm

2009 CRF150F, Got the Power Up kit, put in a new main jet and pilot jet and the needle with the clip in the 4th position, all easy. But I noticed the Power Up kit came with a needle jet, which I have never messed with. How do you remove that? Looks easy to mangle, something I do well.

Is not putting that in a terrible thing?

    Thanks

You undo the main jet holder and gently tap out from above with a plastic biro body. See here https://www.crfsonly.com/forum/viewtopi ... 32&t=43162.

It starts,it runs,it gets to where all CRFs can get to without the valve or valve plate dramas

You can also use a golf tee. Drop through top of the carb so the tip rests in the hole of the needle jet. Give it a slight tap and the needle jet should fall free through the bottom. That worked in my case.
