hi guys
just got a query in regards to some parts for the 450x. i currently have a 2007 450r and looking to buy a 450x. the 450r has a boyesen water pump, R&D powerbowl with JD jetting and a cam. now, can i swap over the bowl etc and water pump? i think from what i have gathered i will be able to swap the stock 07 cam over. Any help would be appreciated Cheers

As far as i know everything should be the same , i know for a fact the carb bowl and jet kit will swap directly , the cam needs to have the same de-compressor setup as the other , otherwise you will have to swap the cam tower as well along with the cam

Boyesen water pump - No
R&D Powerbowl - Yes
JD Jetting - Not really. Needles are different
Cam - Depends on the year of the 450X you end up with whether it's a direct cam only swap.

2007 450R cam will fit the 450x. You will just need to remove the old decomp. setup (450x) if it's the older style. They both use the same cam carrier. Make sure that you swap over the entire cam from the 2007 450R.
