I lately bought a 450X '08 Ahola Replica from TRS (official Honda WEC team) where are installed heavy duty clutch springs.
From the wery beginning I've noticed an heavy pull and problems with a too short engagement... fairly common on these bikes.
Onto the 2T CREs, too, the solution is the replacement of clutch perch with a Domino/Tommaselli (P/N 2379.04) with a shorter arm: 24 mm against OEM 26.
Problems with the 4T X because of the hot-air lever, the bigger cable freeplay regulator and the kill switch (incorporated in the perch assembly).
Here no issues with the clutch lever switch because already removed by the "original" setup.
So, the same effect could be gained by an extension of the lever at the other side of the cable, as per the mod proposed by daystarmx.com for 450R ‘09.
Therefore I've [easily] removed + cut the lever and extended of 3 mm: +10%.
Slots onto the sheath retainer in order to realign with the new pull (otherwise the cable could be quickly worn) and that's it!!
The result is simply great: the pull is now noticeably lighter even than OEM (the cable was already lubed before the mod) and the engagement run is finally better than "normal".
The cost is ridicolous, and the clutch improved feeling is awesome: passed.
