    mods not available crf450x

    HOwsit chaps
    Need help with some mods. I ant to get rid of my headlight on X. is that possible, will it not over charge or sumthin. plus im situated in the middle east and getting aftermarket mods for X is quite impossible. Plus can anyone help with smog mods and muffler mod which i can do myself without screwing up engine?

    by the way im a new owner of honda 450X and to 4stroke club! was riding yz's before. (yz got nicked by some arabs in middle east, impossible?NO)

    If all you are looking to do is remove the headlight, yes, you can just unplug it without any issues. If you want to plug the hole you can just use a piece of flexible plastic cut to size. Notch it to fit around the upper posts and then use a small bolt through the headlight adjuster hole to keep it in. I take my sons out if he is going to the track and plug the hole to keep rocks from hitting wires and the head tube http://www.crfsonly.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=37068&highlight=

    For the smog, depending on what you have available to you material wise, you can make a block off kit. I cut the cylinder head hole cover out of piece of 3/16" billet aluminum that I had laying around. Drilled a hole (well, drilled the hole then cut the part) for the bolt, and then cut a gasket out of a Mr. Gasket Chevy header gasket. The remaining caps and plugs can be from anything that fills the hole.

    smashing. Reading up on all smog kits and stuff and everybody seems to buy them. Cheers for help govn'r cause im gonna do it myself now. great pointer with gasket, didnt even think about that! :lol:
