My son bent one of his (stock) fork legs on his 2005 CRF50F. I have a set of aftermarket fork legs with BBR springs that are 1" longer than stock. We had these on for a while but it choppered the bike too much. I have two choices: put the aftermarket fork legs back on or buy new OEM fork legs.

My questions:

- Is there a mod for the rear suspension that would give a moderate (1-2" lift) to the rear without spending $300 or more?
- Does anyone have a set of OEM CRF50 for legs they want to sell?

From what I have seen out there it looks like you will need to invest in a rear shock that has a longer travel, or go back to OEM on the front.

Some people have put a small 1" spacer in between the frame and the rear shock...

Another possibility is to look for a 70 rear swingarm and put that on. It extends the wheelbase ~2" and will level the bike out with your +1" fork legs (which are much stronger than the OEM legs by the way). All you need for the xr70 swinger to be a direct bolt on is a longer chain, a cheap brake rod extension, and either a bolt through the right side dropout for the 50 drum brake to rest on, or you can weld on a block there.

I have an XR70 swingarm that is already modified to work like this if you may be interested, I'll sell it cheap if you need. I'm in Michigan.
