Do it yourself. Not hard, just take your time and follow instructions.

I've pictures of all the steps, just haven't had the time to put together a "How To" yet.

Hardest thing was drilling the hole in the caliper to install the magnetic sensor. Not that difficult.

    Caliper: Determine placement.

    Scribe the hole.

    Drill the hole.

    Admire the hole.

    Mount sensor.

    Reinstall caliper.

Left Radiator hose (after draining coolant) is removed.

3/4" of the hose is removed about 2/3 of the way up the hose. Install sensor.

    Install remaining hose.

Main power to battery. I like to solder all connections and use heat shrink tubing for a trustworthy connection.

    Connect to battery.

Do the same with the ground connection.

Mount the box on your dash, plug and play.

    Trail Tech Vapor Setup

by Mojave Climber » Tue Jan 20, 2009 10:20 am

OK...I am about good to go, but have a few setup questions. I am putting this on a 2006 CRF450x.

    1) I set the wheel size to the circumference. I measured 2153 mm. This should be OK.

    2) What should the PPR be? I wired to the coil using a spade connector.

    3) What should the Water High Temp and Over Temp Settings be?

    4) What should the RPM Shift Indicator and Over shift indicator be? To be honest, this seems silly, but I guess I want decent info for the Vapor to use.
