    Break-in a rebuilt motor

I am rebuilding my crf250r and i was wondering what peoples opinions on how to break it in were? The manual says easy but some people are telling me to break it in hard. So what do you guys think?

    To break in properly:

CHECK YOUR FLUIDS!!! Don't assume the 16 year old kid who did your bike prep gives a damn.

Warm up, ride for 15 minutes, vary the throttle, stay off the limiter and BUILD COMPRESSION.

Go up hills, and go down hills using the engine as a brake.
    Let cool down.

    Repeat.

    Let cool down.

    Repeat.

    Let cool down.

Now it's ready to rock. If you ride it like a wuss, it'll be an oil burner. Ride it like you mean it.

Now go change your fluids...

Thanks that's a huge help. My only question is you mean go up and down hills several times then turn it off and let it sit for like 5 minutes then repeat right?.

Work in 15 minute segments. Ride for 15 minutes, hard, then let cool for 15 minutes.

At least 3 of these "heat cycles".
