    vacuum tuning the fuel screw

    by zak13 » Mon Mar 31, 2008 6:30 pm

i recently replaced my uncles stock 69 roadrunner carb with a holley performance carb.
while we were tuning it (float bowl level, fuel screw, etc) i had an idea. when you tune the fuel screw on a car you're supposed to hook up a vacuum gauge and tune it to the highest vacuum.
why don't dirt bikes have this?
is it possible to add a 1/4 inch plate and drill a 1/8 hole in it to accept a vacuum fitting.

i have never heard of doing that in a single carby, generally you do it on something with 2 or more carbys so you can set all the carbys up the same

but i have never done it so i'm not to sure
