Yeah it could be, minus the coated forks, aluminum gas tank, triple clamps, handle bar and grips, red hubs, step seat and black levers. I think the only change that you can see on there that will be on the '08 is the silver/black shroud graphics.

I agree with you on the abvious things except the aluminum tank. This bike has electronic fuel enjection and i read somewhere that they have to have the aluminum tank. But the EFI sounds great no carbie and all but i dono bout getting the first realeses there could be a few problems if they do realese them!

no way bikes don't need aluminum tanks to be fuel injected , Triumph Tigers have plastic gas tanks and have been fuel injected since 1999

The only reason that bike has an aluminum tank is because it is a "beta" or so to speak with the EFI and the old plastic tank wouldn't clear the EFI.

As soon as they have a mold made, they will mass produce the plastic tanks in that shape.

It costs too much to make up a mold and such for one test bike.

yeah not sure theres nothing on the internet or any leaks about them i just get the feeling watever honda are doing is goings to be big since they haven't realesed the 250's or 450's yet although most of there other 08's are realesed. even in the dealer ships here in aus there are 08 model mini bikes starting to apear. even next to some 06 model 250x's that they are stuglying to shift. i could go and by an 06 250 for cheeper than a 230 atm

There will be EFI in the bikes produced in 2008, aka the 2009 model year.
