I just installed the flatland radiator guards, fuel screw and emission block kit. I went riding yesterday and my bike seemed to be running a bit hot. The ambient temp was very hot - over 100. When moving the temps were in the low 200's and the highest it got was 220 when going on slow 2nd gear twisty trails.

Is that normal or is something wrong. I'm not certain that I had the fuel screw tuned right. I have the bike rejetted (JD), but have not changed the main pilot yet. The fuel screw was 2.5 turns out. We were probably at 2000-3000' above sea.

when installing any radiator guard that protects the front of the radiator make sure you put back on the white plastic air scoops. you will need to cut off the plastic tabs and zip tie it to the radiator. the scoops help collect and direct more air through the radiators.

Well after reading that post I zip tied them back on. It was 104 where I was riding and my bike never got over 204. It was getting up to 225 before, what a huge difference.

Do you install the white plastic air scoops in front of the Flatland radiator guard, or between the guard and the radiator?

Does that mean that you still have the stock main jet in ? The stock pilot is usually fine, but the stock main is way too small, and you should have a 162,165 or 170 in there along with your red JD needle. Doug

I have the Duval guards and I put the plastic on the outside of the guards. 4 ties each and they look like they belong and really made a difference.
