    Land elevation maps ?

    by UK_CRF250R » Thu May 31, 2007 7:38 am

    Hey people.

Im pretty new to this site just ordered the JD kit and a few other bits for delivery to england to dial in my jetting.

I'm having difficulty finding the elevation (from sealevel) for the places i ride/live, is there any maps on the net with this info for the UK ? any help would be greatly appreaciated.
Any suggested jetting setups anyone (for UK)?

    Thanks.

    Rob.

If you can get it, Google Earth is a good tool to use. It is free. It allows you to see the earth using satellite photography and gives GPS coordinates and elevations as well. If you can locate the areas you ride in, then you can get fairly accurate data.

I don't know if Google has a site in the UK or not. This does require a hi-speed data connection. Dial-up would be impossible.

How is the riding in England? My Mom is from London and we were in Leyburne last summer. I would like to ride next time I cross the pond. Any thoughts on that?
    Cheers,

About the riding in england; what are you looking for ? the motoX tracks are good (which is what i race) im not sure about the trails over here never seen many, i guess wales would be alot better for trails than england.

What would be nice would be to find some great trails and someone who has a 450x I can use for a weekend. lol. We will be coming back next year and I am going to find something. :) Our home base will be Leyburne again.
