    puffs of white smoke?

    by Todd D » Sun Apr 29, 2007 9:10 pm

While riding behind a friend of mine who has a 06 CRF 450 this weekend I noticed after he was on the gas hard and let off after a straighaway that a few puffs of white smoke would come out of the exhaust.

The bike is stock execpt for a Dr. D exhaust and the valves were checked recently and they were in spec. The bike only has about 12-15 hours total time.

I know white smoke is an indication of oil burning so I thought it may be a ring? It has good compression and runs fine except for the smoke. Anybody out there had this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
