I went riding there a couple of years ago. Dirtbikes and also mountain bikes. Hope Valley is where we camped, the terrain was fun, great wooded areas to ride. one section was all wooped out though. Get yourself some maps and go check it out!!
There's something... out there, There's something... on the wing!!! SOME...THING!!!??

Ive riden over at South Shore a couple of times over by Spooner. Mostly fire roads. Its fun if you live in the area and want to get out for a bit but I wouldnt make a long distance trip planning for KM like stuff. I hear theres good stuff on North shore but hadnt gotten that way yet.

There is some cool stuff over on the North side of Truckee. Take Hwy 89 toward Sierraville. There's a staging area on the West side of the highway just before Hobart Mills.
Also if you take Hobart Mills Rd towards Prosser Lake there are some cool trails. Over by the dam there is a little fun park called "The Pits" that is cool. It's maybe 15 minutes past Truckee. You should be able to stop at any sport shop on the way and get a map, it's also a big MT Bike area.
