    Fork seal repacing question ???

    I have looked around the forum and have not found any how-too's on replacing fork seal's! Any one out there no of any link they could post to help me out!
    It's for a 03 CRF450R

    This write up is an excellent one.
    However, it is not actually neccessary to unscrew the top portion of the fork.
    Just remove the rebound nut as shown (clean the area first)
    pull down wiper
    remove snap ring
    heat the outer tube a little with a blow torch around the seal area
    slide hammer forks apart
    then you are ready to replace the seals.
    There are alternative seals to use...just look around

    When you get the tubes back together and it is time to fill'er up with oil....drink a bottled beer while thinking about your successful fork seal replacement. Wash it out and dry it (wifes blow dryer). Then eack fork up with oil. 12oz is the exact stock oil callout (395cc)

    Re-install the rebound nut....then go ride!
