    Jetting question

    by bartlow21 » Sat Mar 03, 2007 5:04 pm

Does any one have any good jetting set ups for a 2006 crf 450 at 500 ft above sea level?

When you're moving, or while sitting there at idle ?
If it's while sitting, that's normal. Doug

When I'm riding it. IF I roll the Throttle on it's OK .IT only does it at low RPMs .

I went with the JD kit (I typically ride at about 1000' ASL - you should have about the same jetting as me)...
    - Red needle, 4th clip (I think...will have to make sure on this,)
    - 48 pilot
    - 1-1/8 turns out on fuel screw
    - TwinAir powerflow filter

I have no, none, zero, nada bog at idle or while running it. If I whack the throttle and don't keep my wits about me, it'll throw me right on my arse...at pretty much gear.

All i have done to mine is a Pro-Circuit Pipe T-4 and a 172 main. I ride all elevations from sea-level to 8000' and have never had any problems always starts on 2-3 kicks.
