    Awsome trails in south carolina

    by 04 crf450 » Thu Jan 18, 2007 6:04 pm

went down to manchester state forrest to ride which is in wedgefield sc...... AWSOME. there are 4 loops a 2 mile, 4 mile, 7.9 mile, and 9 mile. the terrain is sand and the whole trail system is whoops it's sick, and there is a pathetic excuse for a motocross track and a huge sand field full of whoops that perfect. it cost $5 dollars to ride all day and a yearly membership is $25.

The track in Greer is more than likely Lakeside MX Park. Lakeside only has one track and its gets 2 crowded.

There is a facility in Gaffney, SC. I was there last year and it was very muddy and rutted out. More for utility 4 wheelers. I heard more recently it has gotten worse. You may want to check it out for yourself.

Whitemire is nice to ride. Numerous loops for different skill levels averaging 14 miles.

If you plan on traveling from Greensboro, I would hit TNT Motorsports in Chester, SC. Large facility with several tracks and trails for differnt levels of riding.

If you want to hit the Disney Land of motorsports and dont mind a short drive, Durham Town. Its below Athens, GA in the town of Union Point. Check out Durhamtown.com. Awesome place to ride!!!

I am fortunate enough to have several friends with private land with tracks. As long as I pitch in on the upkeep, I ride!!
