Help I am opening the air box and adding a jd jet kit and twin air filter w/o backfire screen. Does any one have a good setting out of the box for ocotillo. Also will I have to adjust for Dove Springs/ California City and if so what there??

I agree! I do in my 450X and about 880ml in the 250X.

There have been a FEW riders that have experienced transmissions locking up due to lack of lubrication.

All have been guys riding on smooth roads at high speeds.

The 450X tranny is designed to splash the fluid on the geartrain. This is easily accomplished by going over bumps. Some guys would rather ride their 450X's on pavement. In this scenario the gears don't get lubricated and lock up.

The 07 models have groove cut into the gears to fling oil at any speed and terrain.

The simple fix is run a full quart.
