I want to kill myself!!! I replaced the metal cam chain guide tab, new cam chain, flywheel back on to torque, set the timing. Now it kicks over easily but won't start.
Spark plug is wet after purposely flooding it.
    Spark plug sparks.
Compression test shows 81 psi after kicking it for a few minutes
    Valves are in spec:
    both intakes .006
    LE .012
RE .010 after reshimming it. Prior to shimming it was .013-.014. This was all checked at TDC.
After shimming we turned it over, aligned timing, and rechecked the clearances... SEVERAL SEVERAL MANY FREAKING times.
Will not kick start or bump start.
At least it's easier to kick??
If there was a bent valve or piston damage would it still hold that much compression? The only weird thing is that before the whole timing chain fiasco, it ran fine once it was started. The only issue was the difficulty kicking it over.
What else could cause it to not start???

Glad you got your issues resolved. =D> Sometimes after a rebuild, the bike is a little "reluctant" to start. Happened to me last Fri. I kicked the bike 100 times. Finally gave up, gave it one last 1/2-azzed kick, and it fired up. Purred like a kitten... :D
