19 CRF450L Chain Slap?

Hey CRF450L Team! I hope everyone had an incredible holiday weekend. So, I picked up a 19 CRF450L with about 3600 miles on it, took it down to Baja to do some riding and it did pretty well. Need to get an exhaust and the Vortex ECU for it, but all in all it went well. During the ride I noticed what I thought was a chain slap that was very loud and pretty consistent with being in the lower end of the gears. But I'm honestly not sure it's chain slap or something else. Has anyone else experienced this noise? If so, any thoughts on how to eliminate it? I've adjusted the chain to specs and still having it. Thanks!

Congrats on your CRF450L! Great bike! Even with the chain adjusted correctly there will be some chain noise/slap. Check also the wear on the sprockets and if either is worn then chain is likely "stretched". Replace chain and sprocket at the same time if worn. If you don't already have a 14T front sprocket it's what most are running up front.

If you do need to replace the chain we recommend the ERVT chain:
