Hi,

I could not find the information in the Owner's Manual, but if I was going by experience I would say the shifter bolt should be 12-14 Nm (9-10 ft*lbf) and the cover bolts should be 8 Nm (5.8 ft*lbf). Can anyone confirm/correct the amounts? Thanks.

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

According to my 2020 450R Service Manual , which the setting should be basically the same for the L .....

Shifter bolt: ...12 N-m - 8.9 lbf ft .

Ignition Cover: ... (oddly enough it does not give a torque spec , it just says tighten securely) ... but in going over Torque values , it says for 6mm nuts/bolts ... 10 N-m - 7 lbf ft.

So that should get you what you need .... ;)

Even, by feel for the cover. Seen to many threads stripped out even when using a torque wrench.
Jim I thought 12nm was 8.8 ft/ pound.

Just don't tighty tighty till it gets to be loosey loosey.

You are right Ray .... I was just reading out of my Service Manual when I typed that ....wasn't really thinking about it ...... Going to have to contact the ones who printed that Service Manual for Honda and tell them to recheck all their printed values ........... Just read my Digital Torque wrench and it says 8.9..... Going to edit my post ....
