This post is for all the Honda CRF450L owners that are wanting to change the final drive ratio by changing the front sprocket. Unfortunately, Honda has introduced a new spline on the CRF450L's counter shaft. We are working with Renthal to get these made as quickly as possible. Even still they are telling us mid February before they are available. We will be the first to have them. We are also looking at other sprocket manufacturers in hopes they might have them available before February. If you see or hear of anything available please PM me.

I have been all over this and unfortunately, nothing currently exists. Yes, Honda is back ordered and no aftermarket manufacturer has them in the U.S. I say U.S. because I was able to convince and work with Renthal UK to make a 13T and have just yesterday gained their commitment to make a 14T. However, the U.S. importer for Renthal has not yet placed an order for the 13T. The spline is so unique that none of the U.S. sprocket manufacturers have the broach (tooling) and would need to buy this broach at a hefty $8-10K. So far none have been willing to make that investment. As soon as the Renthal is available in the U.S. we will have them in stock and in our online catalog.

Any word on these yet? Are we all just stuck with a 13T? I’d really like to try the 14T if someone will make one.

Welcome to the site !! \:D/

As far as I know , no one makes one yet ..... Why not just change the rear ??? , you will end up with close to the same ratio , just need to change 3 teeth different to equal around 1 tooth on the front , I think stock is 13/51 .... (if I was correct on stock gearing) it would be 3.923 , if you went with the 14/51 you want , which is not available , you would be at 3.643 , but a 13/47 would be a 3.615 , a 13/48 would be at 3.692 , I think the range available for the rear is from 44 teeth to 54 teeth depending on the brand , as they each vary the choices , so you can still do a lot of changes ... :-k
