    SKF seals - optional spacer?

    by wild.coast » Sat Nov 13, 2021 10:01 pm

Recently purchased an SKF seal kit for my CRF250L (2015). The kit # is 'KIT-43S' - it came with a dust seal, oil seal, and this plastic spacer.

There is a little paper in the box that says "optional spacer to be added according to fork type fitted" - from the diagram looks like it installs between the oil seal and the stock OE metal spacer. Wondering if this is something I should be using with my bike??

Really depends on what comes out if you need it.
You're just trying to get seal back into same spot in your fork.

It starts,it runs,it gets to where all CRFs can get to without the valve or valve plate dramas

    From SKF:

"Based on the provided data we can confirm you Showa 43 fork does need spacer supplied with the KITG-43S to match proper thickness of our oil seal . As concern the spacer orientation, either way are good."
