Hi,
My '17 250 rally has 450 mi on odo, bone stock. Few days ago after riding 1hr on the trails, I got on the paved road and bike wouldn't rev past 5k rpm at 6th gear. It was as if bike wasn't getting more fuel no matter how much I twist the throttle. After 10 min of riding, I got off the bike, had lunch and got back on the bike, problem seems to have disappeared. Any idea what is wrong with the bike?

How hot did it get. If travelling too slow on trails it may have allowed it to get too hot. The ecu may have limited you until it coooled back down.
Happens in cars so would think it could be a safety feature in most ecu software.
