New owner, bad vibration at 6k rpm

Hello.
I just purchased a 2017 250l ABS model, and while putting a few miles on it, I noticed a bad vibe at about 6k rpm. My hands went to sleep rather quickly. Is this normal? I have not checked to see if it's tires or engine, I'll have to check by pulling in the clutch. Excited to be back riding again with this bike..
