Day 1 - Breaking it in!

    by MEROST » Tue Aug 21, 2012 4:49 pm

I may have rushed to judgment on the brakes. After some burnish, they are are working a lot better. I'm taking it easy for the 300 mile break-in period so I haven't really tested its true power band, but I'm really happy with the engine in the lower range. Also, I'm not planning on taking it on any serious off-road adventures quite yet.

So far this bike has far exceeded my expectations.

Very cool man! Keep us updated :D

I saw one at the MotoGP race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this past weekend and liked what I saw.

I can't believe the MSRP is only $4499? Is this true?

Do you know when they'll be available everywhere?

At this point I think the only limitation of the 250L is the stock suspension. I looked in the owners manual to get some insight into adjusting the rear shock's preload, but nothing is mentioned. The shock does appear to be somewhat adjustable (at least the preload), but it's wedged in there pretty good and it'd appear some disassembly is required to get close enough to adjust it.

I'm hoping that some suspension company will be offering upgrades soon.
