I was wondering , and that makes more sense , his writing accent did not showHi dan574,
That is the beauty of the forum here, is there is a lot of knowledge and different ideas that can lead to solving your problem as I said last night.
The likes of Jim and Neal have been doing the bike thing for a long time so between us all we generally can help work things out.
Still build yourself a peak voltage adapter in case you need it in future.
Jim,
He is in Melbourne so this is Australian spec bike.
There is the extra loom for the ADR stuff to make it road legal.
Dan , as far as I know (at least here anyways) the clutch should have a switch on it for starting , as long as the clutch is pulled the bike should crank , with or without the kill switch engauged , at least that is how it works on my 2020 CRF450R and my 06 450X , the E-Start is not connected to the kill switch .. Hopefully they carried over that part of the system down under ...Thanks Jim, will test the kill switch, out of interest with the kill switch on should the bike still crank?
As for the mechanic I did ask him just to diagnose only and that I would do the work, just happy that I did otherwise I would be even more out of pocket but it may be a case that I need to take it to a pro, so will end up paying anyway.
