A view of the jets inside the carb of a 2012 CRF250X

Just bought a new 2012 CRF250X, new to the site and have been reading up on the mods in this forum. Initial plan was to take the bike into the shop along with a JD Jet kit and have them install the jets and needle but many posts here said no big deal and the Forum's How To Article and JD instructions were pretty straight forward...and the order from Ken was delivered on a Friday evening before a nice weekend
This picture is intended to supplement the How To Article for Jetting and Needle Changes for the slow jet as referenced in #4 & #5 of the jetting section. Hopefully some other newbie can benefit by seeing it while they are researching the topic. The bottom of the picture is facing the front of the bike. It takes a long narrow flat head to get to the slow jet. I didn't have a D shaped tool for the fuel screw but slipping a snug hard plastic tube over it allowed me to remove and replace it with a R&D Flex Jet.
The JD jetting kit, air box mod and a Yoshi RS2 slip on made a HUGE difference in performance to the stock bike! ...just like all the various posts said!
