Seems like there is a little buzz going around about the Hotcam and how busy Santa's elves might have to be this Christmas -- was just curious how many current HotCams riders we have at this point.

Hello all,
I have purchased the Hotcams Stage 1 based on the
positive opinions here but have yet to install it, hope to soon. Has anyone who has installed one actually degreed it in or has installing it based on the timing marks on the sprocket been acceptable?
Thanks,
Galen

I used the timing marks on the cam gear. Worked just fine. Hope you enjoy it, braaap!

Love it! Best mod yet, especially for a CA model which has a 10 degree retarded cam from the factory. Probably will go for a Hi Comp piston and a new head next instead of the 270 kit.

Ok now I really curious...
what does the high-compression pistion do? (I mean besides generate more psi I would guess)...
Does it somehow allow more fuel/air mixture into the cylinder, and is there any risk in blowing a gasket someplace with a high-comp. piston?
Any ideas on how much higher the ratio is over the stock piston?
Very curious,

More HP but you might have to run race gas. Thats OK because the stuff smells great.

Cam works great! Absolutely the best bang for your buck...as for race gas, that's all mine's ever had in it...I can't imagine running a 12.5:1 compression engine on anything less, no matter what the factory says!
