    AP o-ring mod

    by ktmblack » Tue Jun 26, 2007 9:52 am

Okay, I have read a lot of the forums in regards to the AP pump modification, but have not found how to do it, and what is needed for parts. I am considering a quick shot, but interested in trying the mod first. Anyone with knowledge of the procedure would be appreciated.

great post Jo, just remember tie dental floss around the o-ring because it will fall out of your fingers and floss helps you get it back out trust me.

I didn't do this mod initially because I wasn't 100% sure how to do it (and I wanted to ride my bike), so I waited until the next time I was checking valves and I pulled the carb at that time and did the mod. Definite improvement. Highly recommended. The one thing I did differently, was that I used 2 o-rings. (only because I had them). Good luck!
