    torque specs

    replacing my 04 head with a 07, needs torque specs for the head.

    I believe they are 44 ft/lbs. You may want to verify that with a manual or shop as that is a critical torque.

    According to my Clymers, it should be 29 ft lbs for the head nuts. It also suggests that you coat the threads and mating surfaces with oil first.
    Tighten in a cross pattern in 2-3 steps.

    i understand the threads but mating serface"head to cylinder"? i always have done clean and dry, gasket only

    It is talking about the nut/washer to head mating surfaces.
