    quick update

    by revs » Mon May 14, 2007 11:29 pm

just a quick note to thank all who have given advice as i just ran my first enduro -5 hours with some hard sections -it was tough going but i have to say there is not a chance i would of finished it if i hadnt fitted the flatlands rad guards and skid plate as i had a few offs (not my riding off course !!!)and the bike had a few heavy falls on the rad guards with no damage - i was thinking when i was up on the side of a wet misty mountain -i hope these guys(crfs) know there stuff or im here for the night

i was afraid to do the jd jetting kit before the race incase i had any issues so when i get a chance ill let you all know how i got on

    thanks again revs

have a bit of work to do on the bike for the next one -it seems every time there is a crf x beside you they have to pass -but just wait till i get the jd kit installed

Way to go, Revs! Sounds like a very good first effort. You will get settled into the bike and the routine and things will improve.

Congratulations on the baby. Start planning for the crf50! :)

Sounds like it's in her DNA, good genetics...

It's a great thing to encourage the ladies to try riding. That used to be a bad thing, but we all now know it's a very good thing for them and the sport. Good luck.

revs - congrats on the enduro. Probably the best and worst day of your life (if it was anything like my first enduro for me.) I loved every minute of it even though I was in the back of the pack and huffin' and puffin'. Glad the Flatland stuff worked for you...rad and skid guards are a MUST!

We have a harescramble this Sunday (only our second one.) Hope it goes well. Again, congrats on the enduro and best wishes for your wife and the new little redrider on the way!

nedirtbikr- thanks for the words of encouragement -you got it spot on ,at times it was a little daunting up the side of a misty mountain -stuck in a bog hole with no strenght left and then 20 mins later, flyin down hill -back in your stride feelin great again
id done a few hare scrambles before but the terrain was more suited to me on the enduro -best of luck on the hare scramble -i hope it goes well for you, as in a first place !
-its a pity flatlands dont make a headlight guard as its the only thing that got damaged in the enduro !
