It had a square edge that was formed around a root at an angle going left. It then intersected with another root at a slightly greater angle. I came down hard into the hole and hit the edge hard. Full suspension compression and then the angled root took over. The front wheel started a slide to the left and then hit the other root. The whole bike tilted at a crazy angle and rebounded off the root. Without the Scotts I suspect the bars would have wrenched violently and I would have crashed hard.
The end result was that I still had control because the wrenching never took place. Thank you Scotts! Get one and never look back!

p.s. Isn't amazing how the mind slows things down and processes the minute details in a panic situation?

Sounds like you would have been "rooted" without it ...
And please revise your sig size .... so many wasted electrons ....
The Scotts IMHO is the best stabilizer out there.
The benefit I gain from the stabilizer is being able to look farther ahead.
