    Crankshaft hole cap

    by Brando » Mon May 14, 2007 11:21 am

Is there a specific torque when reinstalling the crankshaft hole cap that exposes the primary drive gear?
I have a 10mm allen head socket as was wondering what it should be torqued to?

I would guess about 15ftlbs,but I would check your owners manual. If you dont have one go buy one and read it cover to cover.

    Thanks ,
I have read the manual that came with my bike but couldn't find anything on that particular one.
I've just snugged it up and marked it with a paint marker so I can tell if it is moving. I'll try the 15ftlbs.

133 inch pounds according to Clymers and oil the threads first. That's about 11 foot pounds.
