How much oil should be used in a 250X tranny. The 450X forum says to use a full quart in the 450X tranny. I did a search for the 250X and could not find anything. Thanks in advance.

670cc after draining is what Honda recommends.

I run closer to 800cc.

Yup. They are similar in design. Although the problem has turned up in the 450X, not the 250X, a little extra doesn't hurt anything.

I'm with Agent. Until recently, I'd been trying to stay as close to the recommended amount as possible (doing the side cover check-bolt removal, watching to make sure fluid just starts to come out). I think using more fluid than normal also helps lube the pressure plate throw-out bearing, which looks higher up in the center of the clutch than the recommended fill amount would contact.
