I have the week off school and have been working hard on this bike to get it back together, and its almost finished! I striped it right down to clean and inspect everything. I ended up replacing all the linkage breaings and shock breaing while I had it apart. I just need to finish up installing the computer and bleed the front brake.

I had the computer since late 2005 and have now just installed it. lol i made some brakets out of 1 inch aluminum angle iron. I think they came out good, just dont like how the throttle cabels rub on the edge of it. I put some fuel line over the cables so they won't get ruined. I think they should be okay.

Shark fin we made.

I fixed the flatland guards AGAIN! I had to cut a notch out of the top so that the triple clamp would stop hitting it. I know it will be much less ridgid but they are so bent now anyways, time to be replaced. Gave them a fresh coat of my favourite colour, flat black. lol

AND i have to throw in a pic that keeps me sane through the winter! PS2 AND MX unleased. (its in the shop when we get the urge while working on the bikes) lol

Pretty excited the snow is almost gone, and only need to wait for it to dry up a bit! Thanks for looking, :D :D

Right on! Good to see time spent towards the right priorities. I gave my ride some TLC last night. It's been a long, cold winter here...

Ravage nice work, looks sweet.
Hey, have you changed both the upper and lower triple clamps? Are you running with a different offset than the stock ones? (Trying to address some handling issues and thinking heavily on changing the trees).

Also, what headpipe is that? It's a beast! You just put that on, or have you ridden it that way yet? What's it do to the powerband? (lotsa questions I know)

Some great shots there. Nice clean shop too, I like that a lot. Gotta have a good workspace in the winter, it's almost a must.

Matt,

I just have the top clamp, but i wish i would have gotten the bottom one too in a different offset. I want it to turn quicker, sharper if that makes sense. lol I might do that to the R, but ill see how she handles in the tight stuff first.

The head pipe is the Dubach racing low boy. This bike has tonnes of low end with the cam and pipe together. Really happy with it, ill hate so see her go.

Thanks for the props too!

More low end you say?!! =P~ You have any idea if that would fit onto the E2 slip-on muffler? I am looking to try and improve the bottom end on 3rd gear. Curious if it would help! Btw I know exactly what you mean with 'turn sharper'... I'm kinda getting frustrated with my bike on that same issue. Feels like it would rather push straight like a bulldozer than 'help me' make it turn, if that makes any sense. Then again in its defense, it's not stock power anymore either, so possibly with 'more power' comes more handling/turning issues, which I'm trying to tackle next.

Hey, sounds like you have a 250R as well - what do you think of it? :-k Curios about the handling differences these days.

Hmmm im not really sure about that headpipe fitting with the E2. I havent seen where it slips onto the header. The Dr. D head pipe ensd right where the frame is if that gives you and idea of where it goes. I could get some measurments it you want?

AND with the handelinf i feel the same way, like it will keep pushing straight with the wheel turned. I ride a lot of sand and always thought that was it so i picked up a Dunlop 755 to see if that would help any.

Oh and about the 250R, i dont have it yet. IM gunna ride this season out on the X and give the 250R a try in 2008. I can let you know then LOL ;)

;) ah, gotcha.

I'll try and do some research and see if your type header will fit with the E2. Curious what kind of bottom end that would make!

got the bike pretty much done today, just a few bolts i need to cut down and rivet the new front # plat on to the the brackets. I also started her up for the firts time since November 26. Started on the 4th kick! ran good, and sounded sweet with the new packing in the pipe. Good response on the throttle too! im so happy now! MELT SNOW, MELT!!!
