Took some time off this week to ride Moab, Utah. Here's a couple of videos I'm working on...no sound track yet.

Riding on the Edge - Watch to the end to see the edge. Poison Spider Mesa

Poison Spider Mesa - Quick Look:

This was my first time to Moab and certainly will not be my last. It's a "must ride" place.

Rating:
Ear-to-Ear Smile - 10
Pucker Factor - 10
Difficulty - 10 (rider scalable)
Friendly - 10+
Accommodations - 10

Casualties of the trip:
1. My son's truck - never made it to Moab
2. My ankle and foot - first day crash
3. My clutch cover - Don't go to Moab without a billet cover and an extra cover or Quick Steel
4. Rear brake pedal - Bent but not broken
5. Ram Mount - Damaged mount and then lost Garmin GPS on a 15 mile section...found and returned by a great group of mountain bikers from Boulder, CO. Thanks again!
6. Hands - Blisters, watch the video and you'll understand. 300 miles of that stuff and the hands finally gave up the good fight on the last 30 miles.

Great trip although I can't express how much I missed having my son there to experience it with me.

Great videos Ken, Moab is a must do.

You spoke with one of my riding partners Monday afternoon on main street, we were just pulling out of town in the wind storm.

Yes, I remember talking with him. I was on my way back from buying ice packs and an ankle support sock. It was good to meet him and see some CRF's Only fender stickers.

Sorry I missed meeting you.

Great place, I was there about 15 yrs ago on a Mountain Bike trip with a couple of friends. Would be nice to go back on the 450x. Looks like I'll have to plan a trip with my wife. :D

BTW, I should have mentioned I met many CRF's Only members and customers while in Moab. One group came all the way from Kansas! It was great to meet each of them and to see a few bikes running with CRF's Only fender stickers.

Who all has been to Moab? What's your favorite trail? Who's going there this year?

My buddy is there now, telling me how awesome it is. I couldn't make it, but maybe in the fall.

Hey Ken, I just returned from Moab where I attended an event called goneMOAB, which is an acronym for Gathering Of Nissan Enthusiasts. I went with some friends from the Xterra Club I belong to in SoCal. I ran Porcupine Rim and Top of the World trails, which both had views similar to the one posted with your ride of Poison Spider Mesa.

I agree, Moab is an incredible place. I was joking with the guys on the way in over the CB, telling them that someone had built a town just for ME. Dirtbikes, mountain bikes, four wheel drives, and a brewery smack dab in the middle of downtown. Moab is truly a special place, and the people there are very friendly.

Here are a couple of shots from my trip with the Xterra, but I would love to return with my motorcycles next time:

I have been thinking about trying to get out there this summer. I have some jeep friends that are going so I thought it would be cool to watch them.
