Stoppies are easy on my 125 but I would like to get better at riding them out.

You need more speed to be able to ride them out - the more the better - and then use the same sort of progressive braking your doing. You can help get the back up by putting added pressure on the bars around about the point where the back starts to lift. Its the compression of the suspension that gets you up into the stoppie in the first place. Also helps to sit further up on the tank. Once its in the air very mildly ease the pressure on the brake but keep enough on it to be able to feather. Watch out for the tendency to put too much pressure on the brake as you slow - thats where you'll flip it. What your doing in the video as you get to stop point is what you need to do at speed.

Thanks, that's exactly what I needed to hear (good, detailed explanation). I wouldn't do anything further on my street and without a helmet though...So I just need to get out to a good spot in a field or flat land. The desert where I ride is really hard to even get the back wheel up. All I've been able to do was slide to the side when I hit the brake. Kinda scary doing in my terrain. I need a grass field or hard dirt.

This was my first day trying them on my 230F...been doing them for years on streetbikes though.
