Well, I have been emailing a few different dealers here in SoCal. I got a few quotes, but they seemed to be changed when I called later.
Got the 4213.51 quote from Hahm Honda in Anaheim. 4399 from LA Cycle, and Berts was gonna match LA Cycles price.....BUT, when I call they raised it. Here is how my long day went.
Went to a local dealer in San Juan Capistrano-Performance Motorsports. My dad recently bought a TRX450 from them and they are local. There website is "expired" so I couldn't get a quote from them
We have to wait about 20 minutes for them to roll out the bikes. The guy says he has this one built and 2 others in crates. I ask if they will match prices and he says "yes". I give him my email from Hahms at 4231.51. HE leaves to talk to the manager. After waiting like 15 min, he comes back and tells us they can't do it, Hahms doesn't have them in stock, and so they can give me a low quote. The guy then has the full retail price OTD at 5389 (almost 1200 more???). He then tells us to make an offer (we just did). So we leave.
I call Hahms and the guy tells me he will get back to me in 15 min to make sure he has one in stock. I don't hear from him for 2 hours (I was thinking they didn't have them in, and thats why I wasn't getting a call back, and Performance may have called them and found out that info), so I call my next choice, Berts. I talk to Berts and he says he has 2 big wheels, come pick it up....blah blah blah....BUT, the price is actually $100 than I was previously quoted, because he made a mistake? What, so now it goes from $4399 otd, to $4499 because I am ready to buy?? (LA cycle gave me a price of 4399).
I am watching a FB game and wasn't going to get the bike for a little bit, and Hahms calls me back. The guy was sorry, been busy, etc....Yes, they have 3 in stock, 4213.51 otd.
Hahm is 30 min away, Berts is 1 hr away. Hahms was truthful throughout the whole process and didn't jerk me around, Berts first told me they were selling for $5600 because of demand, but he can give me a deal of "around $4800-4900, how does that sound". I tell him that LA cycle gave me $4399, and he agreed to match, then raised it.
Hahms was a no brainer. If you want a sweet deal and a quick sale, email them!!!! Very professional, didn't try and jerk me around, add a bunch of crap, etc....
The guy I dealt with was "James Simmons". He was so good, my dad (who is a partner in some car dealers) asked him if he wanted a job selling cars. Very good guy!!!!
