07 150r manual jet chart has all temps with same pilot jet

My manual say 40PJ for all temps, this cant be right. Im at 700ft and its 35deg out, whats my pj and mj suppose to be? Whys my manual only give diff mj changes but keeps pj same no matter (40pj for 7-1000ft)

Why do you question whether the manual is correct? Are you having issues using a 40PJ with the your current ambient temps?

Of all bikes i own no manual keeps pilot ssme for all altitudes, its a matter of air density and correct atomization of fuel. Yes bike has lean hang once in a while, no airleaks or dirty carb

700ft isn't enough elevation to warrant a jet change. That's what your fuel screw is for.

No offense but do you know carb science because carbueration is affected by altitude and temp, air density.

Yes, I realize that. My point is 700 feet isn't enough altitude to change the size of a pilot jet on a stock bike from the manufacturer's spe@c. You may have enough adjustment in your pilot screw to account for this change. No offense, but you do know what a pilot screw is do you not?

Are you actually having idling issues or was the only intent of your original post to question the accuracy of the manual? Tuning the carb is outside the scope of the manual, so that could be why the numbers are the same. Or it could be a mistake. The manuals I have for my bikes have more than one mistake.

Bottom line is you need to start with all stock sizes and fine tune from there. At 35 degrees and 700ft, you would probably want to go from a 40PJ to a 42 pilot and see how that works for you. There is plenty of information online about tuning

Yes i know fuel screw. Intent was both. I rebuilt carb with new parts, new hot start, checked boots. Will jet chart then snd see. Yes a surge once in a while when i wick throttle. Yes tuning is in book about idle and setting fuel screw. No offense taken.

Higher elevation requires a smaller jet and colder temps require a larger jet, so at 700ft and 32 degrees F, the stock 40PJ and MJ should be just fine because tour conditions offset each other. Bottom line is you need to tune the carb to your specific riding conditions. Good luck.

I said tune the carb to your specific riding conditions, meanin temperature and elevation, meaning there is a certain procedure for tuning your carb, starting with the slow circuit. Easiest thing to do would be to get a JD Jetting kit and be done with it. The '07 carb is known to have issues.

Exactly what I said. A 40 pilot is likely fine, and if you want to save yourself the headache of trying to tune the carb, especially considering the '07 jetting is known to be problematic, then a JD kit is a simple solution because JD already did all of the hard work and research for you. Use the PJ, MJ, and needle supplied in the JD kit and be done with it. My time is valuable and I've wasted enough of it on you. Good luck...bro.
