    what bike to get

    by sweetcrf » Mon Jan 01, 2007 6:03 pm

i have been looking at the 150f and 85 now they come out with the 150r

i am mainly looking for a all around bike that i can ride the trails with and i will be able to not have to worry bout bottoming out when i jump.

    im arond 130 pounds
    im about 5'2''
and i want a bike that is under 33in. for a seat hight
im a good rider that is looking to get a better bike
i dont have a crf100 any more and there is no way i can stand to ride my lil bros 70

also is there any way Honda would come out with a crf150x any time soon that would be my dream bike, but as i said "dream"

I think you will do fine with the 150r or rb.

oil changes are a little more frequent and rebuild frequency will depend how hard you ride.

The bike is so new that "common" issues haven't shown their ugly heads yet.

the 150R is a a great bike. With your height and weight id be looking at the CRF150RB with the bigger wheels. The only way to know for sure is to go to a dealer or a friend and sit on one. Make sure the height is right for you.

It feels very light, bike is well balanced. My son who is 12 yrs old has the 150RB it is a little tall for him but he is a good rider and loves the bike. Plenty of power thats for sure.

The bigger tires will handle soft deep sand a little easier, Here in Florida its a big issue.

Smaller diameter wheels just don't roll over obstacles as well. They also have a real tendancy to cut and dive in sand washes, etc.

Get the 150R with the big wheel kit. As for us, we are waiting for Honda to make a 150X.
