When replacing the seal make sure it goes back in the right way around.
Check out the shaft the seal runs on to make sure it isn't badly grooved.
It may need linishing to smooth it out a bit. If heavily grooved or scarred may have to replace shaft.
Look at the workshop manual as to how to remove it for your bike.
Will involve some gaskets to get in there as well normally.
You will might need to replace gearbox oil.
