what kind of riding are you looking for??? do you live right in van?
check these websites out

http://www.fvdra.com/
I ride at tailing ponds and chipmunk creek normally. Tailing ponds are about 25 minutes north of hope. Tons of technical riding. tight single tracks. the trails are rated as circle, square or diamond like a ski mountain. You pay FVDRA a yearly membership fee to play there.
Chipmunk creek is on the road out to chilliwack lake. Good riding out there
I hear vedder has some pretty hairy single track trails but i havent been there yet. I hear its hard to find the trails too and very difficult to find a map of the area.
Blue mountain(mcnutt) is closer to home in maple ridge. Some good trails there but gets pretty busy as its the closest place to town pretty.
You could check out the MX track in mission too.

Hey i never noticed your post before. If your still around i live in surrey and i ride mostly tight trails.
For anyone how is looking to ride up there me and my friend went out to chipmunk creek and theres some good trails but there mostly short and we didn't find many loops. If anyone likes rocky hills there's some good ones there. After you turn onto the dirt road and you can park just about anywhere, just think about where people will roost your truck. The road splits stay to the left stay on that road for awhile then there is another major y in the road stay left again. You should then see a sand pit. I cant remember exactly where but some behind the sand hill there is some very tricky hills.

Vedder does have some very hairy single tracks but it also offers some easier wider open riding well.

Yeah I've gone out there a few times. It's fun but it gets pretty muddy. Most of the trails are good for quads or if you like slow slippery stuff. It was fun sometimes but it's closed now, except for the bent spoke hare scrambles weekend.

The family fun ride is part of the bent spoke weekend. I'll probably go to the fun ride i don't really feel like entering in the competition right now.
I've gone riding up chipmunk a few times, i went some where just out side hope off the Coquihalla once, if i just wanna goof around i go to a river bank in chilliwack. My parents have a cabin up around the 100 mile house area so i do most of my riding up there. I still wanna go check out Vedder mountain but most of my friends are mx riders of ride quads. Quads are banned at Vedder. Sylvester road sounds familiar. Is it out around the mission area?

Its off of the Louheed Highway, Between Mission And Deudney. Quads were aloud the last time I was up there. My Friend got pulled over by the cops on his quad because he didn't have off road insurance. Neither did Me my dad or my brother. They were just being pricks to him.

Whats the riding like out there? single track, fire roads. Is their lots of deep water crossings cause my 250R isn't to good in deep water? About the cops did they give him a ticket or just a warning?

fire roads, a bit of single track, theres some pretty deep sticky mud. my old 230 was stuck into it just below the "Honda" on the seat. but there are paths to get around. it vary's a lot up there. and it was the only time i've ever seen cops on my bike. if memory serves me correctly I think it was a weekend where a lot of Grads were having their "grad camp" and all the cops did was make my friend get off his quad and walk down the rest of the way. we had to drive the truck up there to get it later. they recked the rest of our day.

Alright thanks I'm thinkin the next me and my friend with the quad go riding i'll check it out. For now just gotta wait for the snow to melt. I looked it up on google earth and its a long road. When you go there do you just park at the end of the road and ride from there or is there a specific spot where the trails start?
