Maryland ORV Questions...

Does anyone know how the Maryland ORV program works and what exactly it is?

Do I have to have an ORV sticker to ride in in National Forests? If I have the sticker, do I have to pay to ride the trails? Or just pay a yearly fee for the sticker?

How do I get a sticker? I understand the bike must be inspected, what do they look for? What would cause a bike to fail?

I've looked at the Maryland DNR website and there isn't much detailed information.

Thanks,
Jerry

Here they are, I have never heard anything about your bike needing to be inspected. You buy a sticker and just rid there are no additional fees. I have never been to any of them but from what I have heard they are pretty east trails mostly fire roads, nothing to technical.

Thanks for the info. The fire roads are ok, I'm teaching my 14 year old nephew to ride so they would be a good place to start.

$15 for a sticker, no inspection. Just need Vin # and drivers licsence #. Sticker is good til end of year. Buy sticker at DNR office. I went to Greenridge and loved it. Good luck, Guy
