So much for riding this weekend

    by Mark Mitchell 32 » Fri Aug 26, 2011 7:41 am

Had the weekend planned for some guys to come over and ride the track, after the earthquake, I didnt look at it, but some of the jumps are sketchy, and after that hurricane pre-storm, everything is washed. Not to mention the actual hurricane coming this weekend.

Mark...are you in Irene's path? Let's hope and pray it doesn't bring the kind of damage some meteorologist are predicting. Stay safe and let us know how you're doing.

Yep, not looking too good. We (my family) were scheduled for a week at Sandbridge Beach (located on the Va/NC line just south of Va Beach) starting tomorrow. Obviously, that is not going to happen. Looks like it will hit Mark's and my area Sat night, in to Sun morning. Hopefully it will not be too bad, with no loss of power and we can head down Sun or Mon. Batten down the hatches!

Are you guys evacuating your homes?
Either on your own or by order?
    Riding is different than walking.

No, we are too far inland (near DC). They do have some mandatory evacuations on the coast - Outer Banks & Va Beach area.
