I live in morris county Nj and im looking for somewhere new to ride. This weekend I went down to exit 69 off the parkway and it was a great place but its just too far. Where are there some good places to ride in my area?

I ride the old train tracks that run from Hopatcong to Pa. There is all kinds of little side trails its an ok place to ride. I also go out to Penn.

Robbie, Are the old RxR tracks still OK to ride on?
Are there homes nearby where people get upset over the noise?
Do the police patrol and/or confiscate?
    Thanks.

I have rode there for four years pretty much twice a week and never seen a cop. If you go the wrong way on the tracks you run into the nj transit tracks and i think the cops mess with people on the live tracks though I have never seen them. Every time I go I see 10 or 15 other people there and stop and talk to them and never heard of any problems. If you want in the spring you could come along with me. where in Morris County do You live?

I grew up in Mine Hill and now live in hopatcong. When it warms up PM me and I will give you my number and we can ride. I usually go with 3 or 4 others.

Where do you enter the trails from? I know a couple of guys who ride that trail system and they love it. They usually leave from their houses, but I always seem to miss the ride. I live in Vernon. Alot of guys ride out of Jefferson and west milford. Let me know about an entry point, I would love to try.

    Thanks

I get to the tracks in hopatcong but there are entry points all up 206 i know of a few in andover accross the street from the cycle exchange. Not sure where you can park though. I leave from my house also so I am not sure about parking. There is another access on sparta rd I see trucks parked there. I would be glad to take you from my house when it warms up a little.
